Ten Months Old!

On the 16th Anderson was officially a ten month old!  I can not believe that he is already ten months old.  Time has just flown by.  We are just having a great time and look forward to what Anderson has in store for us this year.

Anderson has started walking a little bit this week.  We are amazed at how fearless and persistent he is!  He has fallen down many times, and each times pulls himself back up and goes at it again.  He is definitely determined to get walking soon.  He is getting bruised a little from all of his accidents, but is still smiling!

We did have a little bit of excitement this week at school.  Anderson came home from school with his first "incident" report.  At first hearing of it, I was really worried that Anderson had bitten someone.  He is teething a bit right now, and he is biting everything (except people).  So I was worried that he had started biting people.  Instead, he was actually on the receiving end of the bites.  One of the unidentified kids in his class bit him on his chubby cheek and then on his hand.  Anderson's teacher said that he was not happy at all about the biting.  Luckily, it appears to have been a limited incident.  He had a little bruise on his cheek, but otherwise seems very unaffected by it.  He still loves going to school everyday, and we have been really happy with his school and teachers.  It's been a great place for us!

Desserts!

Anderson clearly has my sweet tooth!  We went to our friend Rhett's birthday party last weekend, and Anderson got his first taste of birthday cake.  Our friend Jeanette's little girl was patiently awaiting bites of cake and eating it off a fork.  Anderson was not so patient and took things into his own hands.  He got cake all over him and a bit in his mouth too!

Uncle Bubs would be so proud!

Anderson received a number of balls (approximately 350 in a ball bin from Aunt Katie) for Christmas.  He has just recently started to want to throw them and really play, which has been a lot of fun.  In addition to this, he also received a bat and ball set.  The other night when we were giving Anderson a bath, he insisted on bringing his baseball bat into the tub with him.  Uncle Bubs you must be proud!  Also, check him out throwing with his left hand!

On the Move!

Anderson was army crawling for a while and now is officially on the move!  He is all out crawling and starting to walk.  He is pretty fast when he is cruising around.  He has taken lot of little steps at a time, but this weekend he took ten steps at a time.  I think he is very close to be an all out walker!

Since he has started really crawling he has loved playing with his pug brothers.  We think they are still trying to figure out exactly what/who Anderson is.

Here is a video of Anderson "playing" with the pugs.

What a month!

If January is any indication of the year we have ahead of us, it is going to be a great one!
  • Anderson's First Haircut--His baby hair was finally out of control, and it was time for a trim.  We headed to get his first haircut.  I was a little nervous going in and seeing the baby ahead of us screaming bloody murder the entire time he was getting his haircut, but Anderson did great.  He was much more excited about the little car seat he got to sit in than the lady cutting his hair!  His hair looks great.  He officially looks like a little boy now.

  • Spaghetti and More! Anderson is now eating just about anything that we eat.  It has been a lot of fun seeing what he likes and what he thinks of some of our favorite foods.  So far, we have not found anything that he really dislikes (he clearly has his dad's eating habits)!   Here are some pics of Anderson taking a stab at spaghetti.

Merry Christmas & Happy 2009!

Happy Holidays!  Anderson had a great Christmas and we are off to a great 2009! Anderson is moving around all of the time and cruising all over the place.  I think this is going to be his month to start walking.  He is definitely on the verge!  It is amazing that he can move so quickly. He has started eating "real" people food, which has been fun for us!
  • Anderson had a visit with Santa and seemed to really care less about him.  Here are some pictures of him with Santa and Anderson being much more excited about the ornaments on the tree next to him than Santa.

  • In December, Grandma Donna and Grandpa Randy came in town for a visit.  We had a great time!

  • Also in December, Katt, Brett & Oakley came in town for a long visit.  It was so much fun to get to see them and really see Oakley and Anderson interact.
  • Here are some pictures of Anderson so excited about all of his new cool toys from Santa!
